At this point, you've connected to the game, you've made a character and you've gotten approved. Now comes the fun part - actually playing! This is a list of basic commands to play on Neighvada Nights. This is not a list of every command. Just enough to get you started.
As always, do not type the brackets (< or >) when entering commands.
You're here to chat, right?
|"<text>||' say||(quotation mark) is how you speak. For example, if you were Applejack and typed "Hello! then other players would see Applejack says, "Hello!"||help say|
|:<text>||; pose||(colon) is how you emote. For example, if you were Applejack and typed :waves! then other players would see Applejack waves!||help pose|
||<text>||spoof||(pipe) is how you spoof, simply posting plain text without your name appended. For example, if you were Applejack and typed |[horse noises] then other players would only see [horse noises] Players can set spoof to always say who spoofed it, as detailed in the help file.||spoof #help|
|page <user>=<message>||p <user>=<message>||page is how you send a private message to another character anywhere on the MUCK. For example, if you typed page Applejack=What's up? then the player Applejack would see a message from you that says <you> pages, "What's up?" to you.||page #help|
|whisper <user>=<message>||w <user>=<message>||whisper is a second way to send a private message to another character, but only in the same room. It behaves almost the same as page.||whisper #help|
|Note: Both whisper and page accept partial usernames. Whisper Applej=<message> will work just as well, assuming there is only one player whose name starts with Applej. Additionally, you can make either a pose with (colon), for example w Applej=:poses! will send the message <you> whispers, "<you> poses!" to Applejack.|
|pub <message>||pub sends a message to the Public chat channel, which all players will see unless they disabled it. For example, if you typed pub Heya everyone!!! all active players would receive [Public] <you> says, "Heya everyone!" This is mostly used for public announcements, as conversations in here spam literally everyone.||comsys alias|
Other Characters' Info
Given that this is a MUCK, it's certain that you want to meet other players. The following commands let you view what characters other people are playing.
|hoof <name>||+hoof +finger||hoof brings up the player's character info, such as race, age and height/weight.|
|look <name>||l (letter L)||look brings up the player's description. This works on all objects, not just players! Rooms, objects, and characters can all be looked at.||help look|
|wixxx <name>||wixxx brings up the player's fetish list.||wixxx #help|
There are multiple, overlapping player list commands that each give slightly different outputs.
|who||lower-case who shows a list of online players organized by name, with their current status and location.|
|WHO||upper-case WHO shows a list of online players organized by their connection time, with their idle time and what they are @doing.||help WHO|
|wa||find fa where||wa shows a list of locations, both IC and OOC, and what players are currently in them.||wa #help|
|ws||ws shows a list of players in the same room as you, as well as their gender, species, idle timer, and short description, if set.|
So you know who people are and where they are, now to get to them.
|go <direction>||<direction>||go is the basic command to move about. Each room has a set of listed exits in its description, of the format [F]our [S]easons The letters in braces are the direction you need to go to enter them, in this case go fs. As noted, you could also just type fs.||help go|
|go home||home||home is a special direction that you can always go, it puts you into whatever room you currently have set as your home.||help go|
|goback||goback puts you back into the most recent room you were in before the current one. You can also goback <number> to go back that many rooms previous.||goback #help|
|meet <name>||msummon mjoin||this set of commands are used to ask players to join you. They will get a message telling them what commands to use to reply. msummon asks them to come to you, mjoin asks to for them to pull you to their location, and meet leaves it up to the recipient.||meet|
|+ic and +ooc||these commands put you into the last rooms you were in flagged an IC or OOC room, respectively.|
|goaside||goaside generates a private, unlinked room that you can use to have private roleplay and/or conversations in. Use msummon to bring people into it.|
|staff||staff shows you all online staff members by default, and can be set to show even offline staff.||staff #help|
|request||requests are our support tickets and method of making rooms. If you need help and no staff are around, submit a request. Full syntax available in the help file.||request|
|carry <user>||handup||carrying people is the easiest way to make them follow you around through the grid. When you offer to carry, the user receives a message asking if they want to be carried by you. If they accept, any movements across the grid you make, they come with automatically.||carry|
|leash <user>||leash is carry, but kinkier. You can only be leashed if you've given permission via leash #add <user>, so you can't be dragged around unless you accept it. There are many more details and options in the help file.||leash #help|
